Every month, my family has a pot luck dinner. February’s dinner was held this past Friday and I tried a new recipe on my family: Sweet Potato Cobbler. No one in my family had heard of it before but we enjoyed it.
I used canned sweet potatoes for this because that is what I had on hand. [...]

I decided to make banana pudding on Monday since we had some really ripe bananas to use up. I used the recipe off the Nilla Wafer box with a couple exceptions. I substituted 1/2 cup honey for 1/2 cup of the sugar and I substituted a tub of lite cool whip for the meringue.
Modified Nilla [...]

This past weekend, I thought I’d try Grandmama Morton’s method for frying shrimp to take to our monthly family pot luck dinner.
I started with shrimp, salt, pepper, cornmeal and vegetable oil.
The seafood market we bought the shrimp from took the heads off for me. But, I had to peel and devein them (with the help [...]
